USEFUL GENERAL TIPS

1. When queuing at the attractions the left queue normally moves faster than the right. Be careful as the rule doesn't always apply if there is a queue for the front seats only!

2. Always pick up the location guide and show schedule at each attraction, you need to plan so that you don’t miss things.

3. The free guides and magazines contain numerous coupons with money off for restaurants and entertainment so make sure you pick these up.

4. The free guides and magazines often contain excellent maps to help you to find various attractions.

5. In the really hot weather make sure that you don’t dehydrate - drink lots of water rather than pop or alcohol when walking around attractions.

6. Don’t have opened alcohol containers in the car - it is an offence.

7. Carry your driving licence with you at all times - if you are pulled up by the police they will want to see it.

8. If you are on the freeway and you approach roadworks, slow down, nearly always there are State Troopers parked up waiting for speeding motorists.

9. Alcohol Laws are strict - if you’re aged under 30 you are likely to be asked for an ID when buying a drink. We suggest you carry your passport with you to avoid disappointment.

10. Remember, if you buy electrical items you will probably need an adaptor for use back home, make sure you check. If you buy videos or a camcorder it must be PAL type otherwise it won’t work back home.

11. To avoid tiresome queuing at main theme parks at busy times, make sure you arrive early. Attempt to get there 30 minutes before the gates are due to open, often they open early. Then go directly to the back of the park and visit the major or newest attractions first, leave the shops until later on in the day.

12. It is useful to set a specific time and place to meet in the event of members of your party getting separarated. If a child is lost, don’t panic. Report missing children to Guest Services. Staff are trained to look out for wandering children and when found, they are taken to a central location normally close to the entrance.

13. Remember, tipping is the norm in the U.S.A. - 15% is the recognised amouut and most prices in the shops are shown exclusive of state tax, you will normally find 6% or 7% sales tax added to the total bill.
